I am a self-motivated optimist who brings energy and passion to her work.

At Dickinson, I chose to pursue both economics and environmental studies because economists provide a practical basis for sustainable development projects and help engage critical stakeholders. What excites me most about my liberal arts education is learning about the interconnectedness of systems and what factors influence human decision making.

I am interested in empowering others to change behavior and advance sustainability.

I have engaged internal stakeholders in my work on campus sustainability and have gained excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as group facilitation skills. I have developed quantitative reasoning skills through my economics coursework and research. Constant learning and exploration motivate me to understand how to balance social disruption with technical innovation to change behavior.

I am also interested in the local context for climate change adaptation and what makes communities resilient. Studying climate change abroad and learning how to apply the human security lens to inform my understanding of climate change as a wicked problem has inspired me to understand the connections between resilience and climate change's impacts on people.
